Ryan Gosling and the velvet jacket - please don't do it to yourself

In case of velvet jackets, there's a thin line between Kanye West effect and the look of circus performer...
The problem with crossing this line to one side or another is that the final effect may be ugh and yuck. Of course, the velvet, glistening jacket will make an impression during the Halloween night or during the poetry evening in basements of the secondary school. But elegant party, premiere of the new film or (most importantly) a New Year's Eve, isn't a moment for velvet experiments.
I want to make myself clear - there's nothing wrong in Ryan Gosling's desire to show his tender-velvet site on the Blue Valentine premiere. I am not bearing him a grudge, because never in my life have I actually met a men dressed in velvet and looking serious. All in all, the velvet jacket will always have the scent of Las Vegas.
Michelle Williams presented herself amazingly in Azzaro dress. The belt with bow created fantastic effect - she looked like a charming little present. Such an offbeat creation doesn't need extraordinary accessories - black cluth bag and high heels will do (a bit too high, I think).
